Disney+ captured AFL Finals attention with an event-led Digital Mobile Billboard campaign around the MCG, using STT Advertising’s LED digital billboard trucks to reach fans at peak excitement moments. With streaming competition at an all-time high, the objective was to deliver high-frequency exposure in the streets and fan zones where crowds move, queue and dwell—then convert that attention into app downloads and subscriptions.

Our mobile digital billboard trucks targeted the full match-day journey: pre-game arrivals via Flinders Street, Richmond Station and Jolimont; venue surrounds during play; and post-game exit routes including Punt Road and Brunton Avenue. We also covered key fan zones such as Federation Square and Yarra Park to maximise reach beyond the stadium gates. Dynamic on-screen creative promoted exclusive Disney+ content and clear calls-to-action, turning high-impact digital out-of-home (DOOH) into immediate engagement.

To support a data-driven result, STT provided GPS tracking, daily campaign photos and audience measurement to validate delivery and optimise routes. The campaign delivered strong visibility across finals weekends and contributed to increased app downloads and subscription uplift across Melbourne postcodes—proving why digital mobile billboards are a flexible, measurable alternative to static outdoor advertising.
